AGRONOVA — First Sowing Campaign of 2025 Successfully Completed
This year, the agricultural company AGRONOVA, part of the NOVAAGRO group of companies, has successfully completed its first sowing campaign of 2025. Despite fluctuating weather conditions, each stage of the campaign was carried out confidently, on schedule, and in line with the established plan.
The total planted area amounted to approximately 30,000 hectares, including the following major crops:
- Sunflower — 12,850 ha
- Winter wheat — 8,723 ha
- Corn — 2,355 ha
- Soybeans — 2,290 ha
In addition to crops traditionally grown in our region, over 1,400 hectares were sown with niche crops such as peas, spring wheat, chickpeas, flax, and sorghum.
The agronomy department established more than 200 research trials. A total of 93 sunflower hybrids and 81 corn hybrids were planted to study their adaptability and performance in our growing zone.
To enhance planting efficiency, precision seeders were optimized for sowing sunflower together with liquid compound fertilizers, which perform significantly better under the arid conditions of our region compared to dry granular fertilizers.
Currently, sprayer operations face challenges due to GPS signal loss during air raid alerts, but the work continues without interruption.
Despite all the challenges faced during the campaign, the successful completion of planting marks the beginning of active preparations for harvesting the early grain harvest.
