The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has allowed NOVAAGRO Group to acquire an oil extraction plant in Vasyshcheve, Kharkiv region
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has allowed NOVAAGRO Group to acquire assets in the form of an integral property complex consisting of movable and immovable property, an oil extraction plant located in Vasyshcheve village, Kharkiv region.
This is evidenced by the relevant decision of the AMCU.
According to the document, the acquisition of the assets provides an opportunity to carry out economic activities for the processing of oilseeds (sunflower) and the production of unrefined sunflower oil and sunflower meal.
The acquisition of the asset makes NOVAAGRO a participant in a new business area for the company – the oil and fat market. This business is a logical extension of agricultural processing, especially given the plant’s location in Kharkiv region.
The oil extraction plant’s capacity is 180 thousand tons of sunflower per year, and the oil and meal produced will be exported.
